After finishing my degree in Art Education in 1972, I started my first career as a teacher in Holdingford Minnesota. In 1974 while working as an elementary art teacher, I began entering Art Festivals selling my hand crafted jewelry. The success I experienced during those summer festivals and the satisfaction I felt working with gold and silver led me to pursue a Masters of Arts in Jewelry and Life Drawing from Saint Cloud State University in 1983.

45 Years of festivals later I still enjoy exploring new avenues of design and techniques. Each winter I work on new ideas adding them to my collection for the upcoming summer. It is the guarantee of seeing something new that keeps people seeking out my booth year after year. Along with pursuing my own work in the winter I have also taught others the art of jewelry making at the College of Saint Benedict, Saint Cloud State University, and North Hennepin Community College.

Winter is also the time for me to work with customers creating unique, one-of-a-kind, commission pieces. Having created literally thousands of designs in the past 45+ years I find I am able to work with my clients to create something they truly love.
